I may have to break my "this is it" and do another feature. Perhaps showing Sea Island or something.Southern Aspirationshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00042045652329926178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7433795512222943867.post-77065669349428671642009-07-09T15:07:07.769-04:002009-07-09T15:07:07.769-04:00Right now I'm wavering towards Cottage 79.Right now I'm wavering towards Cottage 79.Terryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14154846109609330503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7433795512222943867.post-42586389448810962722009-07-09T14:44:40.645-04:002009-07-09T14:44:40.645-04:00It's The Villa that does it for me. Glen church itself is one of my favorites - great building is a setting that shows them off. But the little chapel is a breathtaking surprise. You'd never know it was there.Terryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14154846109609330503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7433795512222943867.post-66641517454416616262009-07-09T14:40:30.595-04:002009-07-09T14:40:30.595-04:00Now THAT'S an apartment complex I could live w...Now THAT'S an apartment complex I could live with. Thought I'd review it and then determine if I want to buy it (I think Amazon has a few copies). Great find on Sea Island too- will check it out!Southern Aspirationshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00042045652329926178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7433795512222943867.post-64722715677259810002009-07-09T12:32:55.972-04:002009-07-09T12:32:55.972-04:00I've enjoyed this series of posts immensely. ...I've enjoyed this series of posts immensely. The architecture of Philip Trammell Shutze has been a minor hobby of mine since discovering that he was one of the original members of my fraternity at Georgia Tech.

I highly recommend the book "American Classicist: The Architecture of Philip Trammell Shutze" by Elizabeth Meredith Dowling. It is out of print but you might be able to find a copy at a library.

In addition to the properties that you've listed in Atlanta, there is currently a Shutze-designed residence for sale on Sea Island. You can view several photos of this beautiful home at seaislandproperties.com (it is listed as Cottage 79 on East 9th Street, priced at $8,500,000).Tuckerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11043993130648918367noreply@blogger.com
